On behalf of Josh Mason and the entire Noob Village volunteer team we have a request, as you are a previous/new speaker at the Noob Community/Village, we would like to welcome you with an invitation to speak at DefCon 34, Las Vegas, Nevada on August 6th through the 9th. We are putting together a fantastic group of speakers to share the experience with those new to IT and CyberSecurity specifically and would like to know if you would be willing to join us. Creating a space for inclusion, learning, and growth was important as an idea and has been a huge success in year one. As we are preparing for our second year, the importance of quality content from experienced practitioners and community leaders is tremendous and we feel you are one. With that being stated, please consider offering an email address you would feel comfortable sharing with the Leadership of Noob Village for further communications. We will be livestreaming the presentations as well for those that cannot be there IRL

Hey there! Are you passionate in talking to a group of people? How about a bunch of n00bs? Do you have an idea, a talk, or some lessons learned you wished you could pass on to the newbies coming into the cyber world? You are in luck! N00b Village this year during DefCon 34 is hosting a Call for Papers!

This is a great opportunity to present to an audience thirsty for new content, as well as to reinforce skills already acquired and may not know all the key members of the community. We are here to bridge the gap and offer the opportunity to meet future fans and support the CyberSecurity Profession as a whole. We had an all-star lineup last year and would like to add your name to the Speakers Alumni List. We will assume the technology responsibilities; audio, visual, and scheduling efforts will be taken care of, to allow you to concentrate on the presentation.

I was fortunate enough to venture into the CyberSecurity world almost two years ago and it has been informative. I had no idea what I was getting into or how little I knew, not sure the majority of any of that has changed much, but I’m learning. To do that, I needed and still need people, actual people, to help guide and direct, to illuminate the path as it were. This has been a fantastic group to associate with because of the diversities. Walks of life, stages of life, experiences, associations, abilities, and every imaginable mental strength, in all its forms, are free to learn from, and it’s wonderful. Thank you for supporting a Noob and everything that entails, I appreciate it so much, I volunteer year-round to help where I can. It is important for continuity to teach the future practitioners of the World to learn everyday and work hard because the threat isn’t going away.
