We’re inviting Indigenous technologists, creatives, organizers, educators, and employers to bring your voice, skills, and energy to this year’s Natives in Tech Conference. Whether you’re building code, sharing songs, teaching hands-on skills, or opening doors to career pathways, this space is for you.

What to Propose

  • Talks & Panels: Share your work, ideas, research, or lived experience
  • Skillshares: Teach a hands-on session in something you know well (tech, language, digital tools, etc.)
  • Cultural & Music Presentations: Performances, teachings, or showcases rooted in Indigenous traditions and futurism
  • Job Opportunities: Recruiters and employers are invited to present opportunities for Indigenous talent (must be aligned with our mission)
  • Lightning Talks: Short (5–10 min) shares on any topic relevant to tech, sovereignty, or Indigenous knowledge

If your work connects Native life and technology in any form... you belong here.

Thematic tracks:

  • Tech sovereignty & infrastructure
  • Music & Culture
  • Open source, land-based tech, and language tools
  • Pathways for Native youth: skilled trades, coding, STEM
  • Climate resilience, storytelling, and data
  • Indigenous-led design, organizing, and creative work
  • Intergenerational knowledge-sharing through tech

  • We center Indigenous voices. While we welcome collaborators and co-conspirators, we strongly encourage proposals from those who identify as Native American, First Nations, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, or Indigenous Peoples globally. You do not need to be enrolled or affiliated with a federally recognized Tribe.
  • Collaborative sessions are welcome. Non-Native presenters may apply if they are presenting in collaboration with Indigenous community members or directly supporting Indigenous-led work.
  • Honor and accountability. All presenters should demonstrate respect for Indigenous sovereignty, cultures, and values. This is not the space for performative allyship, tech colonialism, or extractive projects.
  • Sales pitches, marketing, and product launch promotion about Native or Indigenous-supporting products are welcome, please pitch a Lightning Talk only.
  • Recruiters sharing career opportunities for Indigenous professionals are welcome! Please just keep it values-aligned and informative, we're carving out a space for you, too. Folks need jobs and you have them
  • Accessibility is key. Sessions should be clear, engaging, and respectful of varied learning styles and access needs. Pre-recordings are required for all but panels so we can provide captioning. We have an interactive conference and pair these up with live Q&A after your video runs.
  • Support available. First-time presenters, youth, Elders, and community educators are encouraged to apply. We offer tech support, presentation coaching, and guidance if needed.
