NDC TechTown is an annual conference focusing on software development for embedded and systems programming. If you have an idea for a talk or a workshop, then please submit a proposal!

NDC TechTown 2026 is in Kongsberg, Norway from 21-24 September. 21-22 September will consist of hands-on workshops. 23-24 September will be a two-day, multi-track conference relevant for engineers and technical managers working with software for devices and appliances for industrial, automotive, medical, defence, consumer, and commercial use. We aim for around 350 attendees.

We cover travel and accommodation for speakers who are not considered local. Speakers also get full access to the conference.

Format and duration
Regular talks: 60 minutes
Workshops:  2-day (pre-conference)
Workshops: 120 minutes


Here are some suggestions for topics:

  • C++, C, Rust, Python, Zig and other relevant languages and implementation techniques
  • Embedded devices (eg, OPC UA, SCADA, connected, Industry 4.0, SoC, GPU, FPGA)
  • Product development case studies
  • Software engineering (eg, design, methods, governance, model-driven architecture)
  • Testing (eg, HIL, end-to-end, hardware testing, product testing)
  • Security and Reliability (eg, secure boot, secure communication, tampering)
  • Sensors, Signal Processing and Analytical Machine Learning
  • Human Machine Interface (eg, computer graphics, optimization, rendering)
  • Operating Systems (eg, Linux, zephyr, FreeRTOS)
  • Software Tools (eg, git, gdb, emulation, CMake, containers)
  • Privacy, Professionalism, Ethics, Safety and Sustainability
  • Back to Basics (foundational concepts of a language or a technology)
  • Other stuff you might think is relevant for this conference


Try to limit yourself to 2-3 submissions. If you have previous speaking experience, please include links to videos, online presentations/slides or articles.

In addition to specialists on particular topics, we are also looking for speakers with direct experience in developing real products.
