Open Conf is an annual non-profit, volunteer driven, technical conference dedicated to exploring cutting-edge technology topics. Since its inception in 2019, it has been organized and led by volunteers from the Athens Tech ecosystem.
Supported by key players in the Greek Software and IT sector, including major IT companies, open IT communities, startups, hubs, and research centers, Open Conf aims to position Greece as a strategic destination for global technology partnerships.
Our mission is to foster innovation, facilitate knowledge sharing, cultivate relationships, and drive new business opportunities. We embrace openness to new ideas and are committed to shaping the future of technology.

This year Open Conf will be held on 20th-21nd November, 2026, at DAIS events center, Mesogeion 151, Marousi 151 26.

Open Conf is focusing on delivering Panel and a variety of Openspace activities, that offer significant value to the broader audience within the Greek IT ecosystem.

We are looking for facilitators of Panels and Open Space activities that can deliver engaging content in below categories:
- Panel (we welcome panel, firechat, debates that engage the audience)
- Communities Presence (we welcome your tech-community presence in designated area of Open Space to engage with audience)
- Communities Presentation (we facilitate your tech-community short presentation to a wider audience in Open Space)
- Mentoring (we welcome seasoned Mentors to consult and guide our audience in areas such as career, tech direction, education)
- Tech4Kids (we welcome proposals to co-organize hands-on event for kids, eg Vibe coding for kids)
- TechChallenge (we welcome proposals to co-organize hands-on challenges eg Vibe coding, CTF)
Having a diverse group of facilitators (including newcomers) is really important for us.
Submit your proposal by Sept 13th, 2026.
After your submission, Oπe\n Conf Reviewers and Content Teams, will select the content for Oπe\n conf 2026.
You will be informed whether you are selected or not by end of September 2026.
Submission indicates acceptance of our Code of Conduct.

Oπe\n conf is a volunteer driven, non-profit event supported by sponsors and low cost tickets, thus speeches fees will not be covered.
We ask speakers to specify their needs for Travel and Accommodation. We are committed to assist as many speakers as possible, on a case-by-case basis.
We cannot cover all travel expenses for all speakers.
Given the available funds, we will offer a cost split of major travel expenses like airfare and hotel, or cover one or the other.
We shall not cover transfer or accommodation expenses for local speakers.

We are asking speakers to utilize own company travel policy if applicable for all or part of the cost. We shall try to cover the rest of Travel and Accommodation expenses within individual arrangements.
