The Open Source Day returns to Florence, Italy for its fifth edition!

Join us for a day filled with passionate open source contributors: maintainers, developers of all levels, engineering managers, and full-stack developers. Connect with speakers and sponsors while enjoying coffee breaks and lunch throughout the day. Our sponsors will also host exciting giveaway sessions featuring tech gadgets.

The conference takes place on April 24th, 2026, at The Social Hub Belfiore, a new and incredible location. Doors open at 8:30 AM, with talks beginning at 10 AM.

The event is free and will be broadcast online.

Call for Speakers - Open Source Day 2026

We welcome talks about any open-source topic, including but not limited to:

  • Open source projects
  • Web technologies
  • Software Architecture
  • Frontend frameworks

Session Format:

  • 25-minute presentation
  • 5-minute Q&A
  • Brief live introduction
  • All sessions are hybrid (in-person and streamed online)
  • Presentations must be in English

Important Dates:

  • Talk submission deadline: 22 February 2026
  • Speaker notifications: Starting March 2026
  • Conference date: April 24th, 2026
