The OWASP Helsinki Chapter welcomes talks, workshops, and other submissions related to application and software security.

We encourage sessions that share practical knowledge, lessons learned, research, tools, and real-world experiences in software and application security practices.

We accept several presentation formats, including:

  • Lightning Talks (5–15 min)
  • Standard Talks (30–45 min)
  • Deep-dive Sessions (45–60 min)
  • Workshops / Hands-on Labs

Our audience typically includes:

  • Security professionals
  • Software developers and architects
  • Security leaders and managers
  • Students and researchers
  • Anyone interested in software security

If your format does not fit neatly into these categories, feel free to propose it anyway.

Submission Guidelines

Please clearly indicate the intended audience and expected knowledge level in your submission.

Please also include any special requirements for demos or workshops.

Submissions should be vendor-neutral and educational in nature. Product pitches and sales-oriented talks are generally not accepted.

Code of Conduct

All speakers and attendees are expected to follow the OWASP Code of Conduct.

We are committed to maintaining a welcoming, respectful, inclusive, and harassment-free environment for everyone.
