---
This annual event includes two days of training (Tuesday and Wednesday) and two days of conference talks (Thursday and Friday), with tickets sold separately for the training events and the conference. LASCON will provide a room and AV equipment for the trainer to provide training only to those individuals who have purchased training event tickets separately from conference tickets. On Wednesday evening, all trainers are invited to attendee a speaker dinner to meet the conference speakers. A complementary conference pass will be provided for each trainer.
Trainer or training teams will be compensated on a 40/60 OWASP/Trainer split from the tickets sold for their course. For this year, the cost of a two-day course will be $550, so the Trainer split will be $330 per paid attendee. One-day courses will be $295 with payout of $177 per paid attendee.
Trainers must submit an invoice after the training for the amount of the payout, based on the split and number of actual paid attendees. Final information will be provided by the conference to the trainers upon conclusion of the conference for payment from the OWASP Foundation for the training event.
LASCON is seeking proposals for pre-conference training to be held on the Tuesday and Wednesday before the main conference. Proposals can either be a one-day course or two-day course. Courses begin at 9:00 AM each day and go no later than 5:00 PM.
LASCON is an in-person ONLY event. No virtual training will be accepted. The training event must be presented in person at the venue in Austin TX.
LASCON does not cover any travel or accommodation costs for trainers.
Required Information: Proposals must also include a biography and contact details for the trainer(s). Proposals will be evaluated on abstract merits while remaining blind to biography during the evaluation process. If your training is accepted, you will also be required to submit an OWASP Trainer Agreement (https://owasp.wufoo.com/forms/p1uef3wk1lhcmt4/) which includes a code-of-conduct agreement.
