WHAT WE LOOK FOR

We are focusing on three tracks this year:

Tech Leadership
Share with us your amazing stories about projects you've done, how you saved millions, lessons learned, team building, project management, personal growth techniques, evangelism successes and much more. Submit any topics that would be interesting to Senior Developers, Team Leads, Dev Managers and CTOs.

PHP Development
Teach the attendees how to be better PHP developers! Information here should be lessons about PHP development. Talks might cover core language features, libraries & PHP frameworks, security, performance, composer, testing and any other topic directly related to PHP.

Web Technology
Our event has a PHP focus but that doesn't mean that our attendees want to only hear about that. Modern web development needs knowledge of multiple technologies. This might include databases, hosting, deployment, monitoring, APIs, browser features, JavaScript or anything else of interest.

SUGGESTIONS FOR GETTING ACCEPTED

We suggest that you submit more than one proposal. Most speakers will be asked to present two talks due to budget. Therefore giving more options makes it easier for you to have two that are both selected. Make sure your talk title and description clearly define what attendees will learn in your session. Use your own voice and express yourself to us personally. We give precedence to presentations that haven’t been given before at PHP conferences.

PRESENTATION TYPES

Sessions (1hr long)
Regular talks will take place during the main conference on May 20th-21th.

Workshops (4hrs long)
    Half-day in-depth hands-on events on May 19th.

Training Classes (8hrs long)
Full-day classes with limited enrollment on May 18th.

You can also submit keynote talks to us, though we rarely choose those via the Call for Speakers.

DIVERSITY

We recognize how important it is to have our speaker lineup also reflect the audience that we want to serve. We put an emphasis on inviting speakers from diverse backgrounds to bring their knowledge to our audience. You can reach more of our diversity statements on our website. We also have accessibility information posted as well.
