Session Expectations

The "Next Step" in the title is meant to be taken literally—this conference is not for beginner-level sessions. While we welcome topics that touch on Microsoft Fabric, your session must include Power BI content in some way.

All breakout sessions are 45 minutes in duration and should target intermediate, advanced, or expert-level audiences. With 3 tracks and 6 sessions per track, we will select a total of 18 sessions. The venue accommodates up to 250 participants, ensuring a focused and engaged audience.

Target Audiences

Your session should appeal to one or more of the following roles:

  • Content Consumers
  • Content Owners
  • Data Creators
  • Report Creators
  • Data Architects
  • Administrators
  • Data Governors
  • App Developers

If your session targets an audience outside these roles, please reach out to us to discuss its fit.

Selection Process

Session selection will take place immediately after the call for speakers closes. You will receive feedback on your submission within 10 days. The selection process is highly competitive; submissions are evaluated based on audience, tags, expertise level, and the abstract quality.

If selected, we expect you to confirm your participation within 3 days of notification.

To improve your chances of being selected and to make the process easier for everyone, we strongly encourage you to read this blog post (and watch the accompanying presentation) on writing a strong session abstract. It’s a win-win for both you and us!
