Power Platform Classmates Event 2023

#PowerPlatformClassmates2023 / #PPClassmates2023 is an annual event which was started in 2021 with virtual only. After the success of event in virtual mode first time it will be organized in Hybrid mode which includes different tracks for different region based on requirement of the geo location.

The event will be hosted in a hybrid mode with in-person locations at Singapore, India and Australia.

Event is broadly classified into 2 tracks i.e. Hackathon and Individual Speaker Session.

Call for Submission will be open by 1st June 2023 and will close on 15th June 2023 for the Team (size 1 to 4) to submit the abstract separate for different time zone.

Event will be Hybrid and duration will be from 10.00 AM to 4.00 PM (6 hours) in each time zone.

Event breakdown will be as below -

  • 30 Mins - Keynote Session
  • 3 hours - Selected Team Presentation(Each 1-hour duration)
  • 30 Min - Lunch Break
  • 1.5 hours - Speaker Session / Customer Session(Each 45 Min Duration)
  • 30 Mins - AUA(Ask Us Anything)

Participant Criteria:

  • Participants can register in groups of 2-4 members and no participant can be a part of more than one group.
  • Participants can either work on building conceptual solutions or generic modular components that can be consumed in a solution.

Below are some categories that participants can focus on -

  • Healthcare
  • Banking
  • Insurance
  • Education
  • Manufacturing
  • Retail
  • Non Profit

Winner criteria:

  • Participant teams will be categorized based on location.
  • Selection of 3 papers to present in each different time zone out of all submissions will be between 16th June 2023 to 20th June 2023
  • Completeness and relevance of the solution built will be a major contributing factor to score points for a team.
  • One Winner team will be selected in each organizing location, selected criteria as under -
                - Selection panel from PG/MS Team - (60%                    weightage)
                - Judging panel - Regional MVP/ Equivalent - (30%                    weightage)
                - Public Poll - (10% weightage)

Hackathon T&C:

  • All participants will agree to upload the source files of the complete solution to a GitHub repository provided by Power Platform Classmates
  • Power Platform Classmates will not be providing any licenses or subscription to any of the tools or products. Participants will spin up trial tenants/ environments/ licenses as per requirement of the solution
  • All participants will agree to submit a 5-minute video demonstrating the solution and a PowerPoint presentation focusing the problem statement, team details and an overview of the solution.
  • Decision about the winning teams will be final and is not to be liable for any dispute.
