We are interested in all kind of Python related topics.

Audience: The audience will be mostly Python users of Austria and neighboring European countries as well as some Python people from all over the world. We expect everyone to speak/understand English at some level and we guess that around half the audience will be native German speaker. We aim to be an international, beginner-friendly conference: The conference is free-entrance, only registration as visitor is necessary. As a consequence, our funds are very limited and we can only accept speakers able to cover their own traveling and hotel cost.

Language: We prefer talks / workshops in English language. German language is possible.

Topic: The topic of your talk / workshop should be relevant for a audience interested in the programming language Python. Topic does not need to be python - specific, but should be interesting for our audience. Topics like "Rust for python programmers" or "Free software legal problems for python programmers" are very welcome. Talks shall NOT be about promoting your product or service.

Beginner-friendly: Having a very special topic is no problem (we have no shortage of audience rooms) but please try to make your talk so that even a Python beginner can follow most of it.

Length: ideally a talk should be between 30 - 45 minutes, to leave time for audience questions, speaker change etc. Please note that you can always submit a lightning talk (5 minutes) directly at the conference, it is not necessary to propose lightning talks here.

Format: Please indicate if your talk is a workshop or talk. You can submit the same topic twice if necessary (once as a talk, once as a workshop). Workshops: please indicate what requirements ( knowledge and software) the workshop participants should have.

Timeslot and accomodation: we have an opening party at Staturday evening 18:00 ( 18. april 2026), our first conference day at sunday 9:00-18:00 ( 19. april 2026) and our second conference day 9:00-18:00 at monday, 20. april 2026. We expect speakers to arrive already at Saturday evening and stay until monday. (we provide very low-cost, subsidided hotel rooms directly at the conference location (student dorm) only for speakers. Please indicate in your submission if you will be there for the full conference or only at a single day and if you would be interested in one of our speaker-only rooms.
