about speakers:

All speakers must pay their own travel & hotel cost.

The conference organizers do not have a budget for any travel/hotel aid.

Conference speakers have only two benefits over "normal" visitors:

1. preferred booking at a hotel (student dorm) directly at the conference site. The rooms are reserved for speakers 
2. free entrance (including food and drink) to both conference evening parties ( at saturday 10th april 2027 and sunday 11th april 2027)

about sessions:

please register your talks / sessions directly at the conference homepage ( https://pycon.at ) by clicking on the big red "sign up now" button.  Please do this even if you are not sure if you will come to the conference ( It is very important for the conference organizing team to communicate with you by the email address that you provide at the conference registration. If you later decide not to visit the conference ( for example because your talk proposal was refused) there is no penalty. 

Talks should fit into an 45-minute time slot including speaker change and audience questions.

Workshops should fit into an 90-minute time slot, ad-hoc follow-up workshops can be organized directly at the conference if necessary.

The topic should be relevant for the Python community and ideally have an open-source component. For pitching your product/service, please use a paid sponsor table ( see https://pycon.at for a price list).
