We are thrilled to announce PyCon Ireland 2025, taking place in Dublin on the 15th and 16th of November! We warmly invite both newcomers to the Python community and seasoned veterans to join us for this exciting event being held at UCD O'Reilly Hall.


PyCon Ireland 2025 will run on Saturday and Sunday, featuring two talk tracks and two workshop tracks on both days. Your conference ticket grants access to all activities (see T&Cs for details) and includes a light breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday. Join us on Saturday evening for a fun and relaxed entertainment night, perfect for networking, unwinding and experience a bit of Irish culture. 


Our conference will showcase a diverse range of talks and workshops tailored to various skill levels, from beginners to experts, spanning multiple fields. Topics will include everything from scripting, web development and cloud deployments, to machine learning and AI agents. This year, we will be hosting special events related to technology and the Irish language. We have also planned an exciting panel discussion on AI and its impact with leading experts in the field.


We look forward to welcoming you to PyCon Ireland, known for its warm and friendly atmosphere. Please be mindful to adhere to our code of conduct to ensure a positive experience for all attendees.

Who Should Submit a Talk?

Whether you're a Python novice or a seasoned pro, a first-time speaker or a conference veteran, we want your contribution! PyCon Ireland is the perfect platform to share your knowledge, inspire others, and be part of our vibrant community.


What Kinds of Talks Are We Looking For?

We are eager to hear about your Python discoveries and creations. The topic of your talk is only limited by your imagination and expertise. We greatly encourage people to submit unique proposals that present topics that might be under-discussed otherwise. To help get you started, here are some themes that we are particularly interested in:


I. Python Language and Ecosystem

  • Python Core: New PIPs, updates to the language, best practices.
  • In-depth Patterns and Algorithms: Explore the nuances of the standard library and beyond.
  • Library Functionality: Share your experiences in using and extending cutting-edge libraries.
  • Open Source Contributions: Showcase your own open-source Python projects.
  • Testing, Deployment, and Telemetry: Best practices and innovative approaches.
  • Python in the Cloud: Serverless computing, Infrastructure as Code (IAC), and more.

  • Data Science: NLP, Supervised and Unsupervised Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Data Visualisation, Analytics.

Note:

PyCon Ireland is a community-run event, organized entirely by volunteers. We ask that all speakers and organizers, purchase a ticket. However, we understand that this may be a barrier for some, so we offer financial aid (with a cap at €350) on a per-request basis to ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate.
