RabbitMQ Summit brings together RabbitMQ users and developers from around the world. Learn from speakers and keynotes on what’s happening in and around RabbitMQ, and how top companies utilise RabbitMQ to power their services.

The 5th edition of RabbitMQ Summit is coming to Berlin and will take place on 20th October, being co-located with Code BEAM Europe (same venue). It will once again bring together some of the world's biggest companies, using RabbitMQ, all in one place.

We invite all users, operators, developers, engineers and anyone else with interesting user stories around RabbitMQ to submit talks for RabbitMQ Summit 2023.

RabbitMQ Summit 2023 is a one-track offline conference. Speaking slots are either 40 minutes, which includes a minimum 10-min Q&A or 20-minutes with 5-min Q&A.

We welcome proposals and are happy to support candidates from under-represented groups in the software development community.

The programme committee is also happy to help out with talk delivery, give early-stage feedback and get the speaker ready for the conference.


We want to make sure our conference is as diverse as the community we represent. Do you know any researchers, programmers or experts who are a part of groups traditionally underrepresented in IT (due to gender, ethnicity or any other reason) and whose work you can recommend to our committee? Please, let them know, that our CFP is open and that we’d love to see their work! Also, you can suggest their name in the form, if you want us to check them out and possibly invite them.


  • Your talk should be submitted by 23:59 BST on 11 June 2023.
  • You will be informed about the status of your submission by 31 July 2023.


This year we have two themes:

  1. Features theme - in-depth tech explanation of RabbitMQ features, for example: how to use RabbitMQ in the economical fashion explained by developers, a roadmap of how to use streams.
  2. Industry theme - how RabbitMQ is used in the industry, for example, in an IoT space, troubleshooting, etc.

RabbitMQ continues to be the most widely deployed open-source message broker, used by over 55,000 companies worldwide. It is the de facto standard for cloud messaging and the leading implementer of the Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP). Besides AMQP, RabbitMQ also supports a host of other protocols, including MQTT and STOMP. Previous speakers gave insights into the use of RabbitMQ in fintech, social media, IoT, cyber security etc.

Is your presentation slightly outside that scope? Amaze and inspire us with your submission!


The RabbitMQ Summit programme committee will review, rate, and select submissions based on:

  • Insights to be learned
  • Relevance and timeliness of the presentation to RabbitMQ and message queuing
  • Presenter credentials and expertise.
  • Diversity in the agenda - have we already accepted a talk on the same subject?
  • Diversity in the line-up - we want to make sure we have speakers from different communities and groups.

Your title and abstract should sell your talk to attendees and reviewers. The abstract should answer the questions: "Why should I attend this talk?" and "What will I learn?"


Never spoken at conferences before and are unsure if you should, and what should you talk about? Noel Rappin has a good article on this here:

"1. A conference that was limited to only people that really thought they were the most qualified person to talk would be depressing, if not completely horrific.

2. You are absolutely the most qualified person to tell me what you think on a particular topic.

3. This is how you become qualified. You study something, you teach it to other people."

In short: clearly identify your topic, be respectful of everyone, be interesting, but also self-aware, don't pitch your company, and submit early and often. We could also add to that - think if this conference audience is the right one for your talk (and why?).
