The deadline for submission is February 28th, 2024. Applicants can expect to hear back by March 15th. Talks are expected to be 20min for full length talks, and 10min for lightning talks.

Guidelines & recommended topics

React Conf talks span a wide range of topics. React Conf 2024 is expected to draw a diverse and highly engaged audience of React and React Native developers and enthusiasts. Attendees range from beginners to seasoned professionals, representing a wide array of industries and companies of all sizes. If you already have an idea in mind, we’d love to hear it! If you’re looking for some inspiration, here are a few ideas:

• Your experience building systems, or applications using React
• How React has evolved to be more capable since you’ve started using React
• How have you integrated React with your own infrastructure, libraries, frameworks, etc.
• React focused talks covering  topics like server components, performance, and new React features like use Hook, async transition, form actions, or React Native's new architecture

We want to hear about your journey and the details of your work: the architecture, challenges, and how you overcame them.

Talks that do not fit these guidelines are welcome!

Selection process

Proposals will be selected based on their relevance to the React community, originality, and the importance of the message. A committee comprised of employees of the conference organizers (Meta & Callstack) as well as independent community members will select the talks from the applications submitted here. We are looking for a diverse set of speakers and talks across many dimensions: locations, background, experience, technologies, applications, situations, and environments. Please note that no previous speaking experience is required!

Speaking at React Conf 2024 offers numerous benefits:

• Speak directly to the React community: Your talk will be seen by our in-person attendees and our large online audience.
• Meet other speakers and attendees: Connect with other React developers and enthusiasts from around the globe.
• Free Admission, travel, and lodging: Speakers will receive free admission to the conference and your travel and lodging expenses will be covered.

Selected speakers are expected to meet deadlines for slides, talk recordings, dry runs, and addressing feedback. While reasonable accommodations will be made as much as possible, failure to meet these deadlines may result in the withdrawal of your talk.
