Recon Village Call for Workshops

event starts

7 Aug 2026

event ends

9 Aug 2026

location

Las Vegas Convention Center Las Vegas, Nevada, United States

Recon Village is back as an in-person event at DEF CON, and we can’t wait to see the community again in Las Vegas.

If you are passionate about OSINT, reconnaissance, investigations, attack surface discovery, internet intelligence, geolocation, automation, or hands-on recon tradecraft, we invite you to submit your workshop proposal for Recon Village 2026.

We are looking for practical, hands-on workshops that help attendees learn by doing. Your session can be beginner-friendly, advanced, research-driven, tool-focused, or built around real-world investigative workflows. The key expectation is simple: participants should walk away with techniques, workflows, or methods they can apply after the session.

Workshop CFP Opens: 28th May 2026

Workshop CFP Closes:15th June 2026

Venue: DEF CON, Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada

What do workshop trainers get?

  • Lots of love and respect from the Recon Village team.
  • Exclusive Recon Village Speaker / Trainer Badge
  • Coin of Honor

Once you submit the CFP form, you should receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive this email, it means something may have gone wrong and we may not have received your submission. In that case, we suggest submitting it again.

For any questions, feel free to reach us at [info@reconvillage.org](mailto:info@reconvillage.org). Please do not send workshop submissions to this email. The only way to submit a workshop proposal is through the CFP form.

If you would like to receive a DEF CON Badge specifically, please drop us an email explicitly. We will try to get you one on a first come, first served basis, but there are no commitments.

The Call for Workshops closes on 15th June 2026 at 00:00 PST. Once the CFP is closed, the form will no longer accept submissions or modifications.

What kind of workshops do we want?

We only accept workshop submissions strictly focused on OSINT, information gathering, and reconnaissance. If your workshop is outside OSINT or Recon, please refer to other DEF CON Village CFPs.

Workshops must be vendor-neutral. They should not be product pitches, service promotions, sales demos, or marketing campaigns.

For any questions, please reach out to the event organizers at admin@reconvillage.org.
