Redis Day is a single-track, full-day, free-to-the-public event about anything and everything Redis. Its main purpose is sharing technical knowledge with the local and global Redis communities, by providing a stage for developers and users to tell their stories.

This is a call to all speakers who wish to tell theirs. We don't care whether this is your first time speaking or if you're a rockstar performer, nor do we mind if you're native to the city or a tentacled decapod from Alpha Centauri. We're interested in your story and we'll do whatever it takes to help you bring it to light.

It is up to you to make it interesting ;)

Please submit as early as possible even if you're still not 100% sure about what you want to tell - you can edit your submission until the CfS is closed.

Topics

Naturally, your story has to be about Redis.

Other than that, Redis Day stories usually fall into one of these two categories:

  1. Use cases, demonstrating how Redis is applied for solving problems
  2. Developer sessions, providing updates and sharing best practices

That said, the actual topic's selection depends entirely on you. Some additional pointers to keep in mind:

  • Try making it fresh
  • Keep it technical
  • Make it useful
  • Research numbers are the best, lessons from the battlefield are better

Format

Redis Day sessions are presented to all attendees in the main hall (i.e. single track):

  • Language: English
  • Length: 20 minutes
  • Slides: a basic template will be provided, the content is up to the speaker
  • Demo: possible

Audience

The participating audience is expected to be technically minded, familiar with Redis and its domain.
