The Red Team Village is focused on training the art of critical thinking, collaboration, and strategy in offensive security. The RTV brings together information security professionals to share new tactics and techniques in offensive security. Attendees may spend all three days engaged in introductory workshops or challenge themselves in an immersive Capture the Flag competition to put their newly obtained skills to the test.
Red Team Village is back for another year! This year we will be accepting submissions for tactics and workshops.
Workshops
Workshops should include some sort of hands-on instruction. Attendees should be able to try out a new technique or method while in your workshop and walk away learning something new. Please do not attempt to submit a talk as a workshop.
Red Team Tactics
Tactics are hands on activities that attendees can do while walking through the village. Examples include:- How to use C2 where there is a box which already has a compromised host and attendees can try out different post-exploitation commands/techniques.
- "5 Ways to Bypass EDR". The attendee could either sit down at, or connect to a remote host to try out some EDR bypass techniques.
Be creative and think about the thing you wanted to learn when you were first getting started or what you wanted to learn once you got the basics.
These should be TACTICAL and provide guidance on a specific aspect of Offensive Security/Red Teaming.
In all situations, you would be expected to hang out for the duration of the tactic and help attendees work through it and provide direction. If you cannot stay or have other obligations, there is the possibility of a volunteer handling this, but you would be required to let us know ahead of time and provide instructions/teaching materials to the volunteer.
Tactics can be 2 hours, 4 hours, or a maximum of 6 hours.
Dates and Times
The village will be open and hosting tactics and workshops at the following times:
