In this session, we will take a look at the importance of DLP and retention within Microsoft Teams, and how you can create policies within the Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance Center to prevent the accidental sharing of sensitive information from Teams with DLP policies, and apply Information Governance to your Teams by setting Retention Policies. We will demonstrate how DLP policies can be set to detect when built in sensitive information types are being shard within Teams Chat and Channel messages, and how this can be prevented with policy tips and rules. In addition, we will show you how retention policies can be set to protect both Teams Chats and Teams Channel messages, and how it is possible to filter the policies by Teams and by Users to ensure that information is either deleted or retained in line with your businesses internal policies and applicable industry regulations. At the end of this session, you will understand the data loss prevention and retention capabilities within Microsoft Teams, and how to plan and configure the required policies for your organization
