Don't miss your chance to speak at the first satRday event in Amsterdam! There's a fantastic R community in Amsterdam looking forward to attending good R talks. We invite speakers from all fields in industry as well as academia, and hope to get a great mix.
What can you expect?
SatRDays are community-led, regional conferences to support collaboration, networking and innovation within the R community. This satRday's Main event will be held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands on the 1st of September 2018
We want our event to be inspiring to our attendees, so what would we like to see? How did you solve problems in your organization, presentations about typical work flows, package presentations, best practices, success and failure stories. But these are just examples, submit your talk let us know what You want to talk about!
Types of talks
We have 2 options for talks on this satRday : lightning (~10 minutes) or regular talk (~35 minutes).
We will also host a tutorial day BEFORE the event, so our third option is a tutorial type workshop for friday the 31st of August. Workshop (90min): a Tutorial for 5-20 (or more) persons on a beginner or advanced R topic
Logistics:
This is low budget event, we want to make it as accessible as possible for people to attend. As a speaker you don't have to pay for your conference ticket.
We are not sure yet if we can pay for your travel, please contact us for more information.
Code of conduct
satRday is dedicated to providing a harassment-free and inclusive conference experience for all in attendance regardless of, but not limited to, gender, sexual orientation, disabilities, physical attributes, age, ethnicity, social standing, religion or political affiliation.
We do not tolerate harassment of participants (including organisers and vendors) in any form. Sexual innuendos and imagery are not appropriate for any conference venue, including presentations.
Anyone violating these rules may be given warning or expelled from the conference (without a refund) at the discretion of the conference organisers.
