We are excited to host the first-ever satRday Chicago this April!

SatRDays are community-led, regional conferences to support collaboration, networking and innovation within the R community. Events are organized by and for the local R community - we have sister events in DC, Los Angeles, Paris, Johannesburg, and more! We are accepting two types of talk submissions:

  • Session talks: 20 minutes
  • Lightning talks: 5 minutes

Speakers should indicate on their submissions whether they are applying for a session talk or a lightning talk.

Submission Guidelines 

Updated - deadline pushed back a day! The deadline is midnight CST Mar 24, 2019. The submission process requires that you create an account on Sessionize prior to submitting your application. (Your account can later be used in other abstract submission processes using Sessionize.)

Submissions require:

  • title
  • abstract (in plain text)
  • talk type (regular or lightning)
  • keywords (tags you think are relevant to your talk, e.g. "data visualization", "machine learning", "community", "best practices", "finance", "healthcare", etc)
  • an R-related topic

We strongly encourage speakers from all backgrounds and experience levels to apply. Feel free to take a look at talks from other satRdays events to get a sense of the wide range of topics that you can speak about.

Additional Information

For first-time or new speakers, we plan to have a speaker mentorship program to build your confidence in speaking. Please indicate on your application if you would be interested in participating (or conversely, if you would be interested in mentoring).
