The Azure, AI/ML & Data Community Durban is pleased to bring you Data and AI Community Day Durban: Season of AI!
Microsoft recently introduced Microsoft Community Pilot. This initiative sees Microsoft supply slides and supporting demos to help anyone in the community quickly deliver a talk around topics important to Microsoft. The content is prepared by Microsoft but is free to reuse and remix to deliver to local user groups, meetups, and community events.
As Microsoft intensifies its focus on AI, it is only natural that AI would be the first topic for this initiative, hence Season of AI.
The Data and AI Community Day Durban: Season of AI is a dynamic full-day FREE in-person event on July 20, 2024, at the Coastlands Umhlanga Hotel and Convention Centre in Umhlanga.
NOTE: We had to change the venue at the last minute to Coastlands Umhlanga Hotel and Convention Centre due to the unprecedented demand for tickets. If you have friends or fellow speakers attending the event, please let them know.
The event promises an exciting, in-depth exploration of artificial intelligence and other hot topics in the realm of Data and AI.
The Azure, AI/ML & Data Community Durban group is a user group for the community, by the community. It is a learning experience where we share, learn, and encourage the community to do more with Azure, AI/ML, and Data to solve problems. Our mission statement as this group is to become and create heroes of society through Azure, AI/ML, and Data. We Do Positive things through innovation and passion.

If you are interested in anything related to Data and/or AI/ML in general, then this is your chance to inspire and educate fellow data enthusiasts, professionals, and learners as we explore the latest trends and breakthroughs in the world of Data and AI/ML in Durban.

The event's theme is Season of AI, but that doesn't mean you have to present about AI. The event wouldn’t be organized by Azure, AI/ML & Data Community Durban if we didn’t have a mix of other cool topics. So, we're looking for engaging talks in areas such as:
- Azure AI & ML Services (obviously)
- Generative AI
- Database Development
- Data Science & Analytics
- Real-world AI & Data Use Cases
- Streaming, Stream processing, Streaming databases
- Power Platform & Power Apps
If you have a passion for any of these areas (or anything else related to AI/ML and Data) and a desire to share your knowledge, we want to hear from you!
We encourage "new" speakers to submit submit proposals. We give you a "safe" environment to get into speaking at conferences!
