Hi there!

Thanks for considering submitting an abstract to the conference!

As mentioned, the event will be centered around 4 main themes :

  • Components - Building future proof with Web Components & Libraries
  • Web Applications - PWAs, Service Workers, Storage, Micro FrontEnds, Architecture
  • Developer tools - Tooling, Typing, IDEs, Plugins
  • Build & Deploy - Buildless, CI/CD, Bundleless, DevOpsless

As such, we will prefer talks focusing on those areas. However, our main objective is to celebrate web development made simple which means that if you have a compelling story that doesn't match the main theme but still makes sense you are welcome to send it anyways!

We will select a diverse set of talks, and we aim to represent a large panel of stories. We will consider the speaker's experience, complexity of the topic, coherence with the themes and the type of talk (side-project, experiment, industry, . . .).

We have a Code of Conduct and will reserve some spots for newer speakers. Previous speaker experience is not mandatory, and everyone is welcome to share his story.

Regarding talks :

  • Most talks will be 40 minutes, including Q/A.
  • There will be a virtual hallway tracks for people to discuss and ask extra questions.
  • We will plan for a set of lightning talks, if we get enough abstracts for them.
  • Talks will be live, and not pre-recorded
  • You are allowed to have a co-speaker

Regarding workshops :

  • The setup is quite fluid, we plan for 3 hours but that can be changed.
  • We aim for a smaller audience for the workshops. As such we will ask the leads to pick a number of seats they want to allow in the virtual room.

Any additional questions are very welcome. You can directly contact us on this page.
