The SONiC Foundation would like to invite you to participate in the annual SONiC Hackathon! We welcome innovators to participate and showcase their ideas and implementations with SONiC.

The hackathon event will be virtual, and the winners will be announced at OCP Global Summit SONiC Workshop. Please review the following guidelines and submit your interest to participate. 

Submission Topics

  • Network for AI
  • AI agents for networking
  • AI + debugging & root causing test failures, analyzing test logs
  • Developer experience improvements: builds, CI/CD
  • System & software security
  • Test reliability
  • CLI/config/tracking improvements
  • New feature enablement
  • Other topics are welcome

Timeline

  • September 15: Team formation submission deadline (project abstract due at submission)
  • September 29 (9:00 AM PST -  October 1 (11:00 PM PST): Hackathon participation dates
  • October 1 (11:00 PM - 1:00 AM AOE): Presentation upload period
  • October 16:  Results announced at OCP Global Summit SONiC Workshop

Logistics

  • Demo and presentation will be uploaded to a shared online location
  • Hackathon presentation: 5 minutes to present your idea, your results/demo, and next steps
  • A team may include a maximum of five participants.
  • No more than 3 teams from one participating organization
