SONiC would like to invite you participate in the annual SONiC Hackathon! We welcome innovators to participate and showcase their ideas and implementations with SONiC.

The hackathon will be fully virtual. Please review the following guidelines and submit your interest to participate.

Submission Topics

  • Debuggability, analyzing test logs/pipeline,
  • Manageability and track with yang/ansible models
  • Boot time optimization
  • build time reduction
  • CLI/config improvements
  • New feature enablement
  • Other topics are welcome

Timeline

  • October 24 - Team formation submission deadline (project abstract due at submission)
  • October 30 (9:00am PST) - November 1 (11:00pm PST) - Hackathon Participation dates
  • November 1 (11~1:00pm PST) presentation upload
  • November 1 (1~5:00pm PST) review and winner selection
  • November 4 Result publish online

Logistics

  • Demo and presentation will be uploaded to a shared online location
  • Hackathon presentation: 5 minutes to present your idea, your results/demo, and next steps
  • A team may include a maximum of five participants.
  • No more than 3 teams from one participating organization
