Join fellow OpenStreetMap enthusiasts in Madison, Wisconsin June 11 to 13 for State of the Map US 2026! State of the Map US is the largest gathering of OpenStreetMap community members from across the country and we would love for you to join us.
State of the Map US brings together hundreds of people each year, including mappers, private companies, humanitarian organizations, government agencies, and academia, to learn about and share ideas for innovative applications of open source & open data.

Newcomers and OSM experts alike, we want to hear from you. OpenStreetMap is powered by a diversity of projects and innovations by people like you, so please consider proposals about anything OSM, open data, or open source. Past topics have included:
With space for featured speakers, panels, posters, 15-minute talks, 5-minute lightning talks, workshops, and birds of a feather topics, there’s something for everyone. Feel like your idea is a little different? Please submit it anyway and surprise the program committee!
Timeline & Deadlines
Poster Session
Back for a second year in a row, we are looking to feature a Poster Session to showcase your work. We'd love to see your creative maps, current research, visualizations of OSM data, or anything else you can fit on 24x36 inch poster! Learn more about poster guidelines and sizing information here.
Workshops
Thursday, June 11th will be a special workshop day, with all long-form (60+ minutes) workshops held from 1 to 5pm, prior to the welcome social that will be held from 6-8pm. More information about logistics can be found on the State of the Map US page. Want to demo a tool or share a quick how-to? Consider a 15-minute presentation on Friday or Saturday.
