TransformConf is a new developer-first conference, hosted by JetBrains and focused on the practical use of AI in software development.

The conference is intended as a forum for sharing practical insights, lessons learned, and real-world challenges in applying AI to software development. The aim is to encourage open, technical, and honest discussion among practitioners who are shaping what it means to build software with AI.

It covers topics like building and maintaining AI-enabled systems, designing for human-AI collaboration, working with non-deterministic output, monitoring and reliability in AI systems, rethinking the developer experience, and addressing ethics, compliance, and long-term impact.

We welcome contributions from engineers, ML practitioners, DevOps specialists, technical leaders, and product-minded developers who work with AI in production.

TransformConf will take place in London, UK, on September 15–16, 2026.

Submit a talk and share your experience, whether it's about deploying reliable AI systems, fostering seamless collaboration between developers and AI, designing for ethical and compliant use of AI, or anything else you feel could empower and inspire others on their journey to building impactful, AI-enabled software.

You’re welcome to submit any AI-related talk that you think will be interesting for the attendees. Here are some topics that we expect will engage their attention:

  • AI application development and engineering: Building, deploying, and maintaining AI systems, with a focus on teaching the audience how to create end-to-end AI application designs.
  • AI product development: Collaboration, product thinking, and aligning AI development across disciplines.
  • Advanced modeling and training techniques: Technical underpinnings of AI systems, modeling techniques, and performance.
  • AI agents and developer experience: Rethinking productivity, roles, and human–AI collaboration in software development.
  • Developer education and skills: Helping professionals adapt and continue to develop their skills in the so-called “AI era”.
  • Future of software and work: A wider view to explore long-term changes to programming, teams, and the software industry.
  • Moving beyond the hype: Content that focuses on where AI is actually headed. Examples might include separating myths from reality, challenging AGI narratives, exploring how regulations and compliance requirements will reshape AI development, and offering practical approaches to assessing and designing high-risk AI systems.

Please consider the following tips when submitting your talks.

Title – We review each talk in its entirety, but there’s no denying that a catchy title is a plus. At the same time, make sure that the title is accurate and consistent with your abstract and the content of your talk.

Abstract – Keep it concise and to the point, roughly 200–400 words. Make sure that your abstract accurately describes what you’ll be covering in your talk and what the key takeaways will be for the audience.

If you’re going to discuss a popular topic, try to find an angle that distinguishes your talk from others. For instance, AI agents are likely to be a popular topic, so it’s important for us to understand what exactly sets your talk apart.

While this applies to all talks, it is even more relevant for case studies, which is also a crowded field. If you’d like to present a case study, make sure to highlight its key aspects in your abstract and try to include specific numbers and metrics in your talk.

Level – Try to accurately define the level of your talk.

Category – If multiple categories are relevant to your submission, please choose the first category in the dropdown menu that applies.

Session length – Full sessions are 45 minutes long, including a Q&A session (which is optional). Lightning talks are 15 minutes long. We cover travel and accommodation for full sessions but not for lightning talks.
