West Slope Startup Week gathers the brightest entrepreneurial minds from the West Slope, offering a dynamic showcase of ideas, insights, and education created and presented by rural Colorado's innovators for entrepreneurs and small business pioneers.

Startup Weeks are five-day, entrepreneur-led, community events held in cities worldwide to showcase the local startup ecosystem through meetups, lectures, discussions, and celebrations.

WSSW attendees are adventurous, think outside the lines, are working on big problems, and often have limited resources. From serial entrepreneurs to local small business owners, they are all eager to engage and learn.

The ideal WSSW Session:

  • Offers clear goals, a well-defined message, and a strong value proposition, clearly communicating the purpose, benefits, and takeaways.

  • Includes interactive elements like workshops, Q&A segments, and group discussions to ensure attendee engagement.

  • Creates meaningful connections, helping attendees to network effectively and build lasting relationships within the community.

The ideal WSSW Presenter:

  • Shares insights in a manner that makes complex concepts accessible and engaging, clearly and concisely.

  • Identifies trends and opportunities, demonstrating forward-thinking vision and thought leadership in their area of expertise.

  • Understands the local or regional business environment, providing context-specific advice that resonates with the community.

  • Equips attendees with knowledge, skills, practical tools, actionable strategies, and takeaways. 

  • Connects with attendees beyond the session, offering guidance, facilitating connections, or providing mentorship opportunities.


What to Expect After You Submit Your Session Idea:

  • When you submit your session idea, you provide session details, including a name and a detailed description.

  • Our team of 12+ regional entrepreneurs will evaluate session ideas. We may contact you for additional information.

  • We'll contact all the submitters between May 27 and May 31, 2024, to inform them of their selection status.

  • If your session is selected, please be prepared to work with us to refine or develop it further and to help our team learn more about the room requirements and resources that you will need.

  • The schedule will be posted in June!
