WinOps covers a wide range of topics of interest to both Developers, Operations and existing DevOps practitioners.

We have a strong preference for first person case studies where you can talk about personal experiences or your company's experiences in implementing DevOps in Microsoft technology based environments.

Standard presentations are normally 45 min slideshows with or without a technical demo of some cool stuff; although panel sessions with 3-4 panelists are also very popular, as they allow for lots of audience interaction (we can provide an experienced moderator if you want to run a panel!).

For 2020 we are particularly keen on submissions on "Modern Operations" including SRE, "App Modernisation" (best practices in modernising applications with cloud & DevOps), and of course as always any case studies on how your organisation has moved to DevOps.

To get the ideas flowing, here's a few suggestions:

  • DevOps/WinOps Case studies
  • DevOps Transformation & Culture (particularly in Enterprise orgs using Microsoft technology)
  • Continuous Delivery for Microsoft languages (using MSFT or 3rd party tooling)
  • Continuous Delivery for non-Microsoft languages (using MSFT tooling)
  • Test Automation (for apps & environment validation)
  • Environment Provisioning for Microsoft environments
  • Configuration Management for Microsoft environments
  • Application Release Automation for Microsoft environments
  • Cloud migration and Operations for Microsoft environments
  • DevOps & Security for Microsoft environments
  • DevOps in Mixed OSS & Windows Environments
  • Talks on specific relevant technology e.g. Powershell DSC, ARM, VSTS, Octopus Deploy, 3rd party & OSS software

NOTE TO VENDORS: We encourage vendors to submit talks (and we encourage them to sponsor the event as well!) but talks that simply promote your product and its features won't be accepted. Talks about "best practice" or "customer experiences" or that contextualise your tools (and your competitors tools) within the DevOps/WinOps pipeline have a much higher chance of success. TL;DR if it doesn't offer value to someone that DOESN'T buy your tool then it will be unlikely to make the cut.
