Women Techmakers Scotland, Google Developers Group Glasgow & Edinburgh and GDSC University of Strathclyde & Glasgow 🏴 are thrilled to announce our upcoming conference to celebrate International Women's Day 2026! It will be a space for everyone to come together, share their experiences, and learn from one another.
We want this event to be one for women in tech to shine and share their skills and experiences.
We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment and promoting the participation of women in the Tech industry. With this in mind, we are open to receive applications to present on a wide range of topics, including technical topics and soft skills, such as (but not limited to):
If you are a new speaker, we will invite you to a session to help you prepare for your first talk!
We will also host a Students track where girls from Primary, Secondary School, Colleges and Universities can present their projects or share their experiences around learning about Tech and coding.
We believe that it is crucial for women to have a strong presence in the tech industry, and we are dedicated to providing support and resources to help women and girls succeed. We hope that you will join us for this exciting event and be a part of our mission to empower women in tech.
Calling all technology enthusiasts that want to share their lessons with the WTM Scotland community. Submit a proposal for a conference workshop, session or lightning talk, and share your insights!
All speakers are required to adhere to our Code of Conductt. We also highly recommend that speakers take Linux's online Inclusive Speaker Orientation Course.
Avoid sales or marketing pitches and discussing unlicensed or potentially closed-source technologies when preparing your proposal.
All accepted speakers are required to submit their slides prior to the event.
Sadly, we will not be able to cover travel expenses from speakers outside of Scotland. If you live in Scotland, but not Glasgow, let us know if you need help covering your travel and accommodation expenses 💜
