Abenezer Tafese is an MPH student at Thomas Jefferson University and a physician trained in Ethiopia, dedicated to improving cancer care and research in Africa. He spent four years working at the cancer treatment centers of the University of Gondar and Addis Ababa University, where he witnessed the challenges of cancer care and prevention firsthand. His research focuses on cancer prevention and survival disparities, particularly in breast and cervical cancer. Through his work, he aims to bridge gaps in cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment access in Ethiopia, Africa, and other underserved regions.
