How about I just copy my LinkedIn sentence: Champion for Women in Technology | Curious Conversationalist | Neurospicy Leader | Constant Student | New Podcaster | Tech Operations Enthusiast | Retired Photographer | Hufflepuff Always:

Hi I am Amanda and I hate writing these things - I don't really want to talk about me - I always want to learn more about others and help wherever I can. If you must know about me: I am 50% owner of an MSP in Ontario, Canada which I run with my husband Bryan. I am in Operations and take care of "Managing" the managers and amongst a lot of other random things - I deal with the process side of things. That being said in guiding our managers I am often a resource to translate human behaviour and come up with people solutions that help bridge gaps. I have been told by my own staff (not my words) that I am a bold and confident leader that's great at hard conversations but I guess that means I am probably just good at pretending that I am. After 15+ years as a wedding photographer (a high demand job that requires an incredible amount of diplomacy), a career in customer service and a degree in social work my skills usually lie in finding common ground and understanding and then deploying solutions that match. I have no idea how much of this you will use but if you have to know personal things about me I also have two kids, and am an avid reader. I have always loved technology but was told at a young age that it "wasn't for girls" but way down the line I ended up here anyways. I have a podcast dedicated to informing admin personnel that work in technical spaces about technical topics to help them feel less lost and then I also run a not for profit dedicated to teaching young girls (6-12) about STEM related topics. We build robots, program microduino, make lava lamps, test engineering theories, and really the list goes on for all the creative stuff we get up to. What I am really doing is trying to create a culture of curiosity surrounding STEM for girls in a safe space while also empowering them to be more confident. If you are wondering how I have time for all of this - as I mentioned above I am neurospicy aka have ADHD and having many things on the go is the norm for me. ( FYI if you accept me to speak - please don't use this as my actual bio - El has offered to rewrite it for me and I feel like she will be fantastic at that)
