As a Security Leader at IBM Consulting, I bring over 11 years of experience leading mission-critical cybersecurity initiatives across U.S. federal agencies. My expertise spans the successful implementation of Zero Trust architectures and Security by Design frameworks, strengthening the security posture and resilience of cloud-based environments that serve over 240,000 users and veterans.
My work focuses on securing emerging technologies in the public sector, including low-code/no-code platforms and generative AI applications. I am deeply invested in shaping responsible and secure adoption of these technologies to safeguard sensitive data and enable innovation within federal ecosystems.
I actively contribute to the cybersecurity community as a thought leader and advocate. I’m a member of the Forbes Technology Council, where I regularly share insights on the security implications of Generative AI. I also serve on the Advisory Board of George Mason University's Center for Excellence in Government Cybersecurity Risk Management and Resilience, and I am a co-leader of the Cloud Security Alliance’s Zero Trust Working Group.
Beyond my technical contributions, I’m passionate about fostering diversity in tech. I am a founding member and speaker for the WomenTech Network, an executive board member of WiCyS Austin, and a career ambassador for both the Society of Women Engineers and the NIST NICE program.
