Athi has recently joined the Cyber Security Industry and is currently working as a sales development representative for Varonis, a leader in Data Security.

His background is in Finance and Electrical Engineering having graduated from with a double degree from Monash University in 2019. He joined BHP to gain experience at a rural mining site. However he chose to return to Melbourne to enable him to pursue his dream of representing Australia in badminton where the National team was located. Whilst training with the national team Athi also took a full time job as an Electrical Engineer with Global Engineering Firm Arup. After achieving his goal of representing Australia in badminton and gaining great experiences as a project manager with Arup, Athi was seeking a new challenge.

He decided to move into Cyber Security as he wants to be part of something significant & sees this industry as a crucial part of creating a better future. He joined from a sales perspective as he enjoys connecting with people, building relationships, constantly learning, and also a healthy dose of competition.
