Cameron has over 20 years experience founding, catalysing and commercializing world-positive ventures. A former front-line activist from Perth, Western Australia, Cameron founded many of Australia’s first environmental businesses, including the first organic restaurant, the first organic cleaning company, the first cause marketing agency, and one of the first green hosting companies.
An in-demand speaker, facilitator and consultant, Cameron’s previous board appointments include inaugural board president of Munathara, and non-executive board member of Hitnet - two organisations using technology and the media to inform systems level interventions into remote and marginalized communities in Australia, and throughout the Arab world.
Cameron brings a deeply pragmatic approach to the role of technology in systemic change, and has been leveraging technology for over twenty years to drive both efficiency and effectiveness throughout his and his clients’ operations.
From Billions to Trillions: Scaling Impact Through Collaborative Action
Solving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 is a $4.5 trillion a year challenge, yet current approaches to projects & funding are woefully inadequate for addressing these wicked problems. This workshop invites participants to focus on how their combined funding, advocacy, and enterprise can achieve substantially more impact, with far fewer resources, in significantly shorter periods of time than could ever be achieved in isolation.
In the span of 2 hours, participants work together to design a measurable, time bound roadmap for addressing the greatest collective impact for a pre-selected use case, achievable with the collective knowledge, resources, and capital of the participants in the room and the organisations and communities they represent. Participants will come away with proven tools and frameworks to use within their organisations and communities to maximize the impact of their initiatives through collaborative action.
