Dr. Julie Ray Roberts, PhD, CCC-SLP, BCBA-D, is a speech-language pathologist, autism specialist, and international trainer with over two decades of experience helping individuals with autism, intellectual disability, and complex communication needs find their voice. Based in the Houston, Texas area, Dr. Julie is the founder of AAC Studio, Inc., where Dr. Julie provides evidence-based, family-centered support in speech therapy, AAC, autism intervention, and parent coaching. Dr. Julie’s unique expertise bridges speech-language pathology, applied behavior analysis, and augmentative and alternative communication to create practical, meaningful change for individuals and families.

In addition to clinical and family work, Dr. Julie has trained professionals and families internationally and developed the SVO Power approach, an innovative communication framework designed to help autistic and minimally verbal individuals communicate more effectively through functional sentence structure. Dr. Julie is also deeply committed to advocacy and inclusion, including founding the Profound Autism Ally and Global Disability Alliance communities. Through speaking, training, and direct support, Dr. Julie’s mission is to empower communication, transform lives, and ensure that individuals with the highest support needs—and the families who care for them—are seen, supported, and understood.
