I am a data-driven design strategist.
I specialise in transforming raw data into blueprints for intelligent, human-centred services and products. With a career spanning MI, data engineering and data solutions, I see data as a design tool that powers innovation. I champion a design philosophy that places human needs, ethical considerations and user control at the forefront of AI-driven automation.
I advocate for technology designed to enhance, rather than dictates human experience.

Redefining Possible: Designing tech that serves society
When I first heard about the event, and the ‘Redefine Possible’ theme I thought about how often we talk about technology as something that breaks boundaries and moves faster. In my professional life, I realised that redefining what’s possible isn’t just about what technology can do-it’s about who shapes it, who it serves, and what kind of future it leads to.
My personal journey also reflects this idea of redefining what’s expected to be possible, actively seeking challenges and learning experiences that stretch the boundaries of what I was expected to achieve.
In a 30-minute session, I will challenge conventional thinking around technology design. Moving beyond the traditional human-centric and user-centric approach, we’ll explore how digital products can reflect deeper cultural, social, and emotional dimensions, creating a broader societal impact.
Through a combination of insights from my postgraduate research and my work experience in product management, I will share key questions and frameworks that help designers and product managers think beyond functionality to consider long-term consequences, emotional resonance, and cultural relevance.
I will guide attendees through how to:
- identify and address the unintended societal effects of the products we design,
- integrate cultural, social, and emotional values into their design process,
- balance automation with meaningful human interactions to enhance user experience,
- think critically about how to create technology that benefits humanity now and in the future.
Interactive reflection moments will encourage attendees to rethink how their own products shape behaviours, cultural norms, and social dynamics.
This session will leave attendees with actionable insights and a practical framework to start designing tech that not only serves users but also considers its lasting impact on society and the environment. If permitted, the talk will include a QR to the framework presented in the talk so attendees can use and reflect on, in their own practice.
