Fraser Dear is Head of AI and Data Innovation at BCN, a Microsoft Cloud Solutions partner, where he leads the practice that takes customers from their first Copilot conversation to agents running inside real workflows. He owns the strategy, the architecture and the governance conversation with boards and CIOs, and he keeps his hands on the tools: the flows, Fabric databases and Foundry agents in his sessions are ones he built.
His route into technology leadership was not the usual one. He holds a PhD in laser physics and began his career as a laser physicist and project manager at AWE, moved into service and support leadership at SPI Lasers, and spent seven years at Marley leading business relations and process development, taking ERP and CRM programmes from the shop floor to the boardroom. That decade in manufacturing, defence and engineering is why his AI work starts with the process and the data, not the model, and why he insists on measurable outcomes over demos.
Since joining BCN he has built and led its AI, Power Platform and ERP work, becoming Head of AI and Data Innovation in 2024. He has spoken at the Westminster Business Forum on AI in UK financial services, at the PMI Goals to Results conference on AI in performance improvement, at Housemark's Housing Data and Analytics Summit, and on BCN's AI That Works series, where he builds agents live on screen. He holds an Executive Masters in Management from Hult Ashridge, is a Microsoft certified Power Platform and Dynamics 365 practitioner, and is trained in MBTI and DiSC, which shows in how much of his advice is about people rather than platforms.
He is based in Reading and leads the Reading chapter of the Dynamics 365 and Power Platform UK User Group.

The Room Is the Demo: a live AI co-host built on Power Automate, Fabric and Foundry
Every AI demo you have likely sat through ran on someone else's data. This one runs on you.
As you take your seat you answer three questions on your phone. While we talk, those answers flow through Power Automate into a Fabric SQL database, light up a live map of the organisations in the room, and feed a Foundry voice agent who has the data but knows how to handle it, never saying a name. Partway through, you get to ask Jules about the room. At the end, your three best conversations for the break are in your inbox before you have left your chair.
Then we pull the curtain back. The five flows, the two views that make privacy a property of the data rather than a promise in a prompt, the Data Agent that was too slow for a stage and the one trick that fixed it. Real build records, real timings, and the bits that broke.
If you have wondered whether Power Automate, Fabric and Foundry really join up, come and watch me do it live, on a room full of people - what can possibly go wrong?!
