My name is Ivan Radchenko, I moved to Toronto in March 2022 from Israel. I have more than 10 years of experience with Microsoft Data Platform and I'm primarily a performance tuning expert. I started as a SQL Server 2008 DBA, moved on to working as a BI Data Engineer. During this time, I managed and developed a 50 TB SQL Server 2016 data warehouse, where I gained a lot of experience implementing Columnstore indexes. Today I work with Madeira Data Solutions (https://www.madeiradata.com/, based in Israel) as an independent contractor. My primary role is a part-time production DBA for my clients, that includes managing, monitoring and tuning of SQL Server on-prem/Azure/AWS instances. I also do various temporary projects, such as SQL development tasks, data migrations and SQL Server reviews, where I provide detailed reports of security/availability/performance issues that my clients' SQL Server instances/Azure DBs suffer from.
