Enterprise guide to analytics capabilities: A journey for data-driven insights and innovation

What successful organizations have in common is driving outcomes and value based on the insights from data. In this session we navigate enterprise data driven journey through a model of self improvement, going from initial analytical capabilities stage, through functional and finally to data driven and fostering continuous innovation. We explore patterns for data extraction, data lakes and lake house architectures, and finally distributed data meshes with practical examples.
With all these patterns, as an architect, you face the challenges of navigating multiple concepts where decisions are impacted by the fear of “missing out“ or ”lock in“. In this talk we use a model to guide you around data platform architecture patterns and capabilities. I also present how to use the model to architect for reversible decisions and scale multiple platforms as the data landscape grows. The goal is to support the business in its scalable data-driven journey towards innovation.

Session is targeted towards architects and tech leaders that work on data strategy and architectures. It was featured so far in 2 public conferences and private sessions where it was always met with praise. Session does not require specific cloud provider knowledge and techniques described can be even applied on-prem.

Modern data strategy: an evolutionary analytics architecture

During times of uncertainty organizations are expected to grow and innovate. Data is the compass for organizational growth. Despite this it’s still challenging to navigate many patterns for modern data platforms, and now distributed data-meshes where decisions are challenged by the fear of “missing-out“ or ”lock-in“.
In this session we take a journey through a model of evolving business capabilities and the analytical architectures patterns. Where we meet the business where they are, having an eye on the future. By the end of the session you’ll be able to use different patterns to integrate data across silos, platforms, and organizations showing implementation examples using AWS services.

Session is a build up on presentations at
* Voxxed Days BE https://brussels.voxxeddays.com/speaker-detail-page?speakerId=3224
* Big data framework bid data days 2022/23

Session is a 45 mins keynote relevant for leadership thinking about data strategy and concrete for architects, tech leaders, data engineers and data scientists building or using data platforms.
Session is met with high CSAT of 4.8 when presented in conferences or private customer conversations.
Session is not focusing on AWS services but patterns that can be implemented on any cloud or even on-prem. The focus is on architecture and design patterns.
