Laura is an experienced teacher of English and Spanish as a second language. She has worked as a teacher, curriculum designer, educational project advisor and professional development coach for teachers.

She has a bachelor 's degree in English teaching from the Universidad Hispanoamericana de Costa Rica, and a technical degree in Spanish teaching from the Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica. She is an expert in educational coaching and neurosciences from the Universidad Tecnológica in Mexico City. She has recently obtained a diploma in Emotional Education, Leadership and Coaching Basis for Integral Development (FLICH) Fundación Liderazgo Chile and in Gamification from Skills Lab, San José, Costa Rica.

From EduTech CA she has worked in the conceptualization, design and implementation of "Train the kids" a Social & Emotional Learning program for the region. She is familiar with the implementation of the program from her role as advisor and academic accompaniment to the participating schools.
