Lisa Saurs is the Associate Director for Cybersecurity recruiting at TBG Cyber| SecureRecruit, a Division of The Bachrach Group. She is a passionate advocate for diversifying security and she has been planning events and conferences since the first Day of Shecurity conference. Lisa has worked in the cybersecurity field for 9 years and in staffing for 18 years and is an active member of several security community initiatives. She currently serves as the National Comms Director for Raices Cyber Org (since 2022); and the Social Media Lead for WiCyS Chicago (since 2020). Previously, she was the Director of Marketing and Media with CyberSN and Secure Diversity for 7 years. There she was a first-five hire at the org, a Founding member of the Day of Shecurity conference team, and ran all digital, print, and in-person marketing needs in collaboration with the C-Suite. Lisa has supported, planned, and organized hundreds of cybersecurity talks, webinars, and conferences - her favorite are those that bring students and the new-to-cyber together with senior practitioners and industry leaders. She has an MS in Digital Marketing, a BA in Women’s Studies. She is web development and social media certified and a first-generation college graduate. She lives in Central Illinois with her husband and for fun she walks around the lake in her city, reads sci-fi and faerie books, plays the trumpet, and works in her midwest gardens.
