Gege Marjorie is a trained Agronomist, with over 6 years of active volunteering experience on Environmental and Human rights advocacy with Greenpeace Africa in Cameroon. Her journey in the Internet Governance (IG) space began with her volunteering during the 17th session of the IGF in Addis Ababa-Ethiopia, after which she got integrated into the Cameroon IGF team, serving as a Youth IGF coordinator and as a member of the national executive secretariat. The School of Internet Governance (SIG) by PRIDA and the Internet Society’s (ISOC) E-learning course on IG through the Young Ambassadors Program (YAP), brought a new light of inspiration to Marjorie, as she intends to promote youth engagement for sustainable development, through her new local NGO; Emerge Africa and her start-up; Sabgena. Being mindful of the importance of IG to global economic sustainability, Marjorie joined the ISOC Cybersecurity Special Interest Group (SIG) for knowledge increase on security issues linked to digitalization and is an Instructional Facilitator for the Pan African Youth Ambassadors for Internet Governance.
Marjorie believes nothing is impossible when the right actions are taken towards the right direction.
