May is a Security Analyst at Silicon Labs, focused on Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance to help protect and improve the company's Information Security Management System (ISMS). At work, May volunteers as a Software Quality Internal Auditor to assist in the company's mock audits and relevant activities in preparation for the ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 27001 certifications. May also co-chaired one of the company's ERGs – the Women @ Silicon Labs, which aims to engage, inspire, and develop women leaders. She also co-chaired the Customer Experience Committee of the company's Annual Technical Symposium for two years, evaluating abstracts and presentations for the event.
May taught Math and Reading to elementary students through Communities in School. May also provided a caring, consistent presence to a child of an incarcerated parent for the Seedling Mentor Program. May served as a Software Engineering Leadership Program Instructor and a Career Workshop Mentor for Code2College. She is also a member of the Engagement Committee at GirlStart, where she gives her valuable input to the organization's marketing and communications strategies. May is also a volunteer member of the CompTIA Certification Advisory Committee and serves as a CompTIA Subject Matter Expert for Coding Foundations Certification and Durable Skills Workshop. She recently joined the Filipino Young Professionals of Austin (FYP-ATX) Mentorship program, where she mentored Filipino/Asian college students at the University of Texas in Austin. May also currently serves as a member of the Professional Development Committee at FYP-ATX.
