The Magic of Beginnings

A team startup event is a magical way of transitioning groups of individuals into a cohesive team. It’s also a great way to reboot existing teams. While taking the time for a startup event is often resisted, it’s not something that the team can afford to skip. The startup event lays the foundation for team success and empowers the team to define its identity.
In this interactive workshop, you will learn the components of a successful 2-day team startup event, including:
• Process education and alignment
• Defining team identity
• Understanding the Product vision and building an initial backlog
You will also have an opportunity to participate in many of the activities that make the startup event an outstanding experience for the team.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how to harness the magic of beginnings!

Save the Dragons, Slay the Day: Lessons learned from my first year as a consultant

If a dragon were to pop up in front of you, what would you do? Would you run, freeze in place, or fight back? I’ve faced a few dragons in my first year as an Agile Coach Consultant. Dragons are metaphors for the shocks and challenges I encountered along the way. While my fight-or-flight responses might have sent me running away, or to find a sword to fight back, I treated each Dragon as an opportunity to embrace continuous improvement.
In this talk, I will share with you the lessons I learned as I transitioned from being an Internal Agile Coach to becoming an Agile Coach Consultant. Most importantly I’ll share the secret to “Save the Dragons and Slay the Day!”
