Mohammad Reza Sharifi is a Data Solutions Engineer with a strong passion for leveraging data and artificial intelligence to enable informed decision-making and meaningful impact. With an academic foundation in Computer Science and Data Science, his career reflects a balance of technical depth, research curiosity, and a long-standing commitment to teaching and knowledge dissemination.

Sharifi began his professional journey as an ESL instructor at the Star Educational Society in Kabul, where his enthusiasm for education and mentoring first took shape. He later earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications from the University of Mysore on a prestigious ICCR scholarship funded by the Government of India, while simultaneously working as a Web Developer at Shishira Softbiz Pvt. Ltd. This early blend of academia and industry laid the groundwork for his interdisciplinary expertise.

He went on to complete a Master’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Mysore, with a focus on machine learning and data science. Following this, he pursued doctoral research in Computer Vision for nearly two years before choosing to further specialize by undertaking a second Master’s degree in Data Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence at the School of Computing, Newcastle University, UK, from which he graduated with distinction. He intends to return to doctoral research in the future. His current research interests center on Sentiment Analysis and Natural Language Processing, particularly applications involving Large Language Models (LLMs).

Sharifi possesses strong technical expertise in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, R programming, Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), statistical modeling, and a range of frontend and backend web technologies. He currently works as a Data Solutions Engineer, consulting with businesses and organizations to help them better utilize their data for strategic, operational, and policy-driven decision-making.

In parallel with his industry work, Sharifi has remained actively involved in teaching and academic engagement. He has delivered Full Stack Web Development training at Aptech Computer Education, one of India’s leading IT training institutes, and has conducted technical workshops and courses at universities across India and Afghanistan.
