Mohammad Reza Sharifi aka Mo is a Data Solutions Engineer at Serios Group in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, specialising in cloud‑driven data systems with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and modern data engineering practices. He is passionate about building scalable, cloud‑native solutions and leveraging data and AI to drive meaningful, evidence‑based decision‑making. With an academic background in Computer Science and Data Science with AI, his work blends technical depth, research experience, and a long‑standing commitment to teaching and knowledge sharing.

Mo’s professional journey began in education as an ESL instructor in Kabul, where he developed a deep interest in mentoring and community learning. He later earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications from the University of Mysore on a prestigious ICCR scholarship funded by the Government of India, while simultaneously working as a Web Developer. This early combination of industry and academia shaped his interdisciplinary approach to technology.

He went on to complete a Master’s degree in Computer Science with a focus on software engineering, followed by nearly two years of doctoral research in Computer Vision. Mo later pursued a second Master’s degree in Data Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence at Newcastle University, graduating with distinction.
