Nick Finch is CTO and co-founder of inmydata, an Edinburgh agentic AI company where AI agents do most of the engineering under human supervision. The results have reset what his team thinks is possible: they recently rebuilt a data platform that originally took nearly five years in under three months.

His talks and writing focus on what that shift does to the economics of software. When agents can build almost anything cheaply, the code stops being the asset. What keeps its value is domain knowledge, judgement about what deserves to be built, and a delivery process that turns that knowledge into working systems. Screens will be drawn by models. The business logic and data underneath matter more than ever.

Nick brings around 20 years in data analytics and four years building with LLMs hands-on, including production agentic systems in commodity trading, enterprise database administration and operational analytics.
