Rebecca is a self-confessed nerd who works at the intersection of people and technology to solve problems for the enterprise through product management, technology adoption and employee experience design. She’s happiest when she can combine her loves of technology, creativity and human behaviour to build inclusive workplace experiences.
She has been building intranets, nurturing enterprise social and facilitating internal communications since 2009, is a 3 x Microsoft MVP (M365 Apps & Services) and is enhance the workplace experience at Avanade as a Manager and Product Owner in IT responsible for Collaboration. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business (Marketing) and is pleasantly surprised that it still comes in handy.
In her spare time Rebecca is a serial hobbyist, and while some obsessions come and go, sketching has been a constant. She’s been drawing since she could grip a crayon, and is a “failed” art student who now shares her love of sketching and sketchnotes whenever the opportunity presents. She’s currently studying Psychology to enhance her current work practice and to further her work as an advocate and ally for chronic illness, neurodiversity and first nations people.
Sharing knowledge is her default and she enjoys blogging, tweeting, presenting and coaching as a way to give back, learn and meet interesting people.

Sketch Your Way Around Microsoft 365 - Yes, You Can Draw!
Think you can't draw? Challenge yourself by learning sketch basics which you can use in your note-taking, meetings and presentations, or just at home for fun. Then step it up learning how you can leverage sketching in M365 to improve your work and impress your colleagues. In this interactive session, Rebecca will show that everyone can draw with 101 concepts. Then take you on a tour of how you can apply your sketch skills in the Microsoft 365 tools you use every day including PowerPoint, OneNote and Whiteboard using digital drawing tools. No sketching experience required, but we recommend sketching along to get the most out of this session. If you don't have a tablet and stylus you can still play along, bring your favourite notebook and a marker to get the most out of this session.
This is an interactive and hands on session. To get the most out of it you will need, paper and pen, or a digital tablet and stylus so you can draw along.
Inclusive Meetings and Events: Create more Engaging Virtual Experiences with Microsoft 365
Virtual meeting and event experiences start before we click 'join' and continue after we hit the 'leave' button. Technology allows us many ways to be more inclusive but introduces new challenges for organisers, facilitators, and attendees to consider and overcome. Getting it right has tangible benefits for everyone. Getting it wrong, even with the best intentions, can lead to real harm for individuals and businesses. In between is a mess of unsatisfying experiences, and that's not great outcome for anyone.
Whether it's a video call with one other person, or an event with thousands, you will come away from this session with practical tips and advice to plan and deliver experiences that are engaging, accessible, safe and inclusive.
In this session Rebecca will:
- Set the scene for why you should care about inclusivity in meetings and events
- Draw upon the experience and perspectives of conference attendees (this means you)
- Take you through a journey of inclusive approaches for Before, During and After meetings and events
- Show you features available to you in M365 that you can start using straight away in tools you use every day like Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint and Viva Engage
