Simone is a Public Health Dietitian with the Healthy Communities team at Interior Health. She has 18 years of experience supporting food literacy education in schools and using evidence-informed approaches for teaching nutrition. Simone was a project lead for the development of the Hands on Food resource and she participated in the provincial working group that developed the Teach Food First toolkit. Simone holds a Bachelor of Sciences in Nutrition and Dietetics with the University of British Columbia and has a graduate certificate in Educational Neuroscience from the University of Calgary.
